"Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library runtime error" - Help?

I purchased Adobe Audition 3.0 a couple of months back for my Windows 7 laptop and overall I enjoy it. When it works, it works great. However, I have encountered a "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime error" at least three time which prevents me from being able to continue with a session.

 

The latest occurence seems to have been triggered by my machine going into sleep mode. I have the laptop set to never go into sleep mode while open because if it does while I have a session up, the playback glitches when I come back to resume the session, BUT, a relative saw my open laptop and thought I accidentally left it open and closed it. Sure enough, the playback went wonky so I saved the session and closed it out. When I re-opened the session and pressed play in multi-track view I got the runtime error message and the program shut down. I can't continue using Audition if I can't fix this problem. Please help!

 

System details: Custom HP, Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, Intel Core i3-330M Dual Core processor (2.13 GHz), 8 GB RAM.

Can't Reactivate Audition 2.0

I was using Audition 2.0 just fine today and received a message that I need to reactivate my copy of Audition. I tried to activate online but kept receiving the Authentication Server unavailable (I know you recently shut it down)

Error Code: 93-9

 

After talking to an online chat person I was told they can't help with 2.0 on chat. I called the phone number given and the support person kept saying over and over he was able to activate my copy on his computer. But I can't get the message to away (server unavailable) and thus can't use the program putting all of my work to a stop.

 

I told him there is a phone activation option but the automated system kept saying the activation number was too short.

is audition 3 compatible with iZotope RX2 Advanced ?

 

i tried to add the VST folders iZotope RX2 Advanced (trial )  , audition 3 scans these folders but i doesn't visualize the effects

 

why?

 

what's wrong?

device ID has been used that is out of range for your system

Hi, I'm using Audition 1.5. In edit view I'm trying to hit play but a window comes up that says a device ID has been used that is out of range for your system. An error was generated by your sound card. It may not be properly configured - reinstall your sound card driver, check the sound card documentation and, if necessary, contact the sound card manufacturer to help you resolve this hardware error.

 

I already reinstalled the driver, any ideas?

I need help with this error

 

I've successfully installed Audition 3.0 on my computer and unfortunately, whenever I try to open the program, an error appears which says there is a Microsoft C++ Runtime library error.

 

Can you help me this?

I tried to submit this question earlier this morning, but I have not seen my question posted in these forums.

 

I've been seeing reports that Audition 3.0 is now in the public domain and that Adobe is making AA 3.0 available free?  Is this true?

 

I've been using 3.0 for several years and am getting ready to upgrade to a newer PC with Windows 7 and I cannot locate my original

 

instal disk.  So...if it is true that I can download 3.0 free that would be huge for me.

Audition 3.0 won't open

Good day.  I am using Audition 3.0 on Windows Vista Pro 32 bit.  I have been using it since 2009 with no problem until today.  When I try to open the application, I get an error message "Adobe Audition could not find a supported audio device.  Please check your device settings".  I have checked all of my device settings and all are working.  Yesterday I ran my monthly hard drive cleanup and mistakenly selected to delete Office Setup Files.  I did not notice the warning until later today that deleting these files may affect the operation of software programs.  I have tried restoring backup files from my backup service, but no change.  I have been chatting with tech support with no luck.  They tell me to uninstall and reinstall.  I have created several shortcuts in Audition and would hate to lose them.  Is there any hope to get this problem resolved without reinstalling?  Thanks for any help.

How so I separate the front two channels of a 4 ch recording, to decode mid-side?

I am recording in 4 channels into a Sound Devices 744T. Front pair is in mid-side config, rear pair is two Omni mics. When I open these files in AA3 they show up as 4 mono channels. How do I separate the first two channels to decode the mid-side using Voxengo plug-in.

It happened that I was saving a project when the program suddenly got frozen. Now each time I open that project the following message apears.

I use AdobeAudition 3...

 

Adobe has encountered an error.

how do I copy and paste in Adobe Audition 2.0 and keep my markers and metadata?

I'm trying to paste sections of sound file at the end of a different file, but when it pastes I lose all my markers and metadata which were saved on the original file. Does anyone know how I might copy the markers over as well? Would really appreciate some help! Thanks

How to reinstall Audition 3.0 in Windows 7?

Hi,

I have a multiple seat licence of Adobe Audition 3.0.

When I installed this adobe audition 3.0 software on Windows 7 (32 bit), the wrong code was entered.

 

Usually, when running Windows XP, I completely uninstall, reboot, reinstall, and we get the option of entering a licence key.

This process is not working for Windows 7 however. I reinstall the software, but do not get the option to enter a licence key. It tells me to buy the full software, and a "buy" link which opens the adobe website. There is no option to enter a valid code.

 

How should I go about entering a valid code, and re install the software properly on Windows 7?

converting .wav files to .mp3 files in Adobe Audition 3

I am trying to save a .wav file as an mp3. file.  When I go to Save As and click on file type/Mp3, it asks me if I want to overwrite the current .wav file.  When I say yes, it saves it as a .wav file.  How do get it to save as a .mp3 file?  I'm certain that there is an easy way to do this, but I'm missing it.  Any help from this knowledgeable forum would be most appreciated.

Select microphone for audio driver?

Please excuse my bad english.

 

Microphone is connected to PC. In the Windows' tool "Sound" -> "Recording" there are 2 microphones: first one which is built-in laptop, second one which is connected to audio card inlet.

 

With audio driver "ASIO4ALL v2" choosen at Edit -> Audio Hardware Setup -> Multitrack View -> Audio Driver recording comes from built-in microphone.


With "Generic Low Latency ASIO Driver" choosen recording comes from connected microphone. This microphone is better, but because of driver the recording sounds badly.

 

Can I use connected microphone with ASIO4ALL driver?

Audio Device Setting

My computer crashed. Lost all my files.  A2007 Sony Vaio Windows 7.  The Adobe help Desk helped me reload Adobe 3.0.. I loaded my RME babyface drivers.  OK. Now when I try to run Audition, an Icon pops up saying." Adobe Audition could not find a supported audio device. Please check your device stings."  I'm stuck. Any help I would appreciate. Thank you.

online activation of Audition 3 is no longer possible

For those who do not know - Adobe no longer has activation servers for AA3. Anyone know a workaround for not being able to activate AA3 anymore. I've had to do a new install. Disabling activation is quite an astonishing move by Adobe if this really is the case

After install, audio input is not recognized. Cannot record.

I have been using Audtion for almost 10 years.  I have installed Audition on a new desktop.  The message appears:  "The audio input is not activated.  Recording audio is not possible.  Check your audio input configuration."  I have configured the audio from the control panel.  A test reveals that it is picking up on the audio input.  In Audition when I open the equipment set up, it does not recognize any inputs at all.  Do I just need another type of sound card?  Help.

Midi latency ONLY when recording

Dear Adobe aka Cool Edit Pro community

I have set up my midi device with a non-Adobe VSTi and it works fine with no latency. But when I want to record the latency is unbearable, playing the chords/samples simultaneously or delayed and rhythm is ruined.
It works perfectly with zero latency when I play without recording but the second I hit record in the multitrack window it acts differently.

And I am not using that dreadful 'step record' button. :-)

Could really use some advice. I am looking forward to hearing from you.
