I used to be able to just got a new computer had to reinstall.
How can I listen to my vocals while I record in adobe audition 1.5?
AA3 Cannot start: error message: "AA could not find a supported audio device. Please check device settings"
When I try to start Adobe Audition 3.0 I get:
"Adobe Audition could not find a supported audio device. Please check device settings"
Then it shuts down.
Running XP/SP3
I'm using an M-Audio 1010LT card with current drivers
Device settings are OK..
It is properly installed and checks out in control pane/system/devices and sound and control panel/ audio devices.
I installed a trial version of AA CS6 (V5) and it works fine with this card but it is useless since it can't load the ASIO driver.
I even downloaded ASIOforall and installed it and configured it - it recognized the M-audio card instantly but CS6 still
couldn't find the ASIO driver
.
But the problem I'm trying to solve deals with Audition v3.
From the little I've used CS6 I much prefer V3 - which used to work fine.
BTW the card also works fine in Winamp and Vegas Pro.
So the problem seems to lie with Adobe.
I've seen this problem (could not find a supported audio device) discussed elsewhere but haven't found a solution.
What can be done to fix this?
Thanx

Update from Audition 1.5?
Is there an upgrade from Adobe Audition 1.5 to the current one? Can you buy it or is the subscription the only way?
Activate audio input
I recently had a problem with my M-Audio Delta 66 sound card. After updating the firmware, I get sound using playbacks such as winamp, but no recording or play back in AU 3.0.1.
The message I get is: "The audio input is not activated. Recording audio is not possible. Please check your input configuration."
Where do I find the input configuration in Windows 10?
Is AA 3.0.1 Compatible with Windows 10?
Just wondering if anyone is using AA 3.0.1 with Windows 10, and are there any issues?
I've always found little bumps and bruises with Windows 7, and am curious if it would make sense to upgrade to Win 10...

Can you help me with problems I'm having with Audition 1.5 and Windows 10?

Guitar Rig 4 in Audition 3.0
Hi,
it's been a while, but I'm having a weird problem with Audition 3.0 and Guitar Rig 4. I just upgraded my recording computer (windows 7 home premium 64 bit, Intel i5 at 3.1, 8 GB of RAM), and Audition 3.0 is not recognizing Guitar Rig 4. I put the .dll file in the VSTi folder, and I went to add a VST directory, but it doesn't come up -- it's like it just doesn't exist. I tried putting the .dll in the plugins folder, but the same thing happened. Recabinet 3 is being recognized by Audition 3.0, so I don't know what is going on with Guitar Rig 4. Help, please! Thanks in advance.
********EDIT*********
OK, now BFD2 is doing the same thing. This is really ticking me off. When I go to add a VST directory it isn't there, and when I go to enable effects the panel is blank. Then when I finish I can see it quickly scanning the plugins and Guitar Rig 4 and BFD2 come up!!!! What the heck is going on!!?? If it knows it's there why the heck is Audition telling me that it's not there to enable or disable? These plugins worked just fine with Audition 3.0 on my previous computer.

Hearing double sound using MIDI controller
Hi, I have connected a keyboard using a MIDI-to-USB connector to my lap, and have successfully configured Audition with it. Now in Multitrack view, I insert a MIDI track, click on Sequencer, and select a VST plugin called Pianissimo. I select Live monitoring in the MIDI track. Now when I play the keys, I hear double sounds - one from Pianissimo and the other one that sounds like a mono piano tone. If I mute the track, I dont hear the Pianissimo sound, just the 'mono piano' notes. Does anyone know how to get rid of the extra mono-piano-tone?
Adobe Audition 3.0 "Audio Hardware Settings" for USB Audio Interface HELP!
Hi guys.
I’m after some help in the internal settings of Adobe Audition 3.0 whilst I’m trying to run my condenser mic through my ART USB Dual Pre.
I have the USB Dual Pre all set up in my Windows 7 set up (it automatically becomes the default recording device when it’s plugged in), phantom power enabled, XLR cable plugged into the right socket of the two available (is there any difference? I’m just recording voice tracking for radio announcements), headphones plugged into the monitoring jack at the back. Levels are turned up enough that they will pick up the noise, if there was any.
I go to the “edit” tab in Adobe Audition 3.0, hit record and nothing comes up. I’m not getting any sound at all registered on the computer. I’ve downloaded and installed Asio4All, but can’t for the life of me figure out the configuration within the “Edit > Audio Hardware Setup” to make the damn thing pick up my voice. There’s mention of Audio Drivers (Asio4All or Audition 3.0 Windows Sound), USB Audio Codecs, Input/Output… it’s enough to make a man who’s not very good at this sort of thing cry (ie. Me).
Could anybody help a body out, please? I think I’ve done everything right except the configuration within Audition itself. A helping hand would be GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks so much!
Editing very large MP3 Files
Hello,
Sorry for my bad English! I am French!
I recently bought a Sony digital recorder (ICD-PX312) that records MP3 files.
I recorded my noisy neighbour, in continuous mode for three days. (I was not at home)
PX312 recorder has produced several files which maximum size is 511,845 kB corresponding to a lenght of 24H 15min.
Every file, checked with Mediainfo, have the same properties. (48kbps 44.1KHz)
I can read them with VLC media player without any problem, but I need to edit these files to keep only the interesting parts.
If I open (drag and drop or open file) these files with Audition 1.0 (I came from Cool-Edit), I found a very strange behavior.
The 24H 15min files are opened with a lenght of 1H and a half or so!.
I gave a try opening with Audition 3.0 and the result is strange too, and more "funny":
The lenght of one 24H15min file is 1H and a half
The lenght of another 24H 15min file is 21H or so.
In the Audition TMP directory, Audition has created several 4 GB temporay files that correspond to the limit of the WAV files.
I made a test with a 128kpbs, 44.1khz. This 511,845 kB file is 9H 5min long
Audition read it as 4H40min
The TMP file is 2,897,600 kB, far below the 4 GB limit
It seems Audition 1 and 3 (I read CS5 has the same problem too) does not share the WAV conversion very well.
Is it due to Audition itself or to the Fraunhofer MP3 codec?
Is there any workaround from Adobe?
As I am an AVS4YOU client, I tried AVS Audio Editor. It opens every file with the good lenght but does not have the needed editing functions. That demonstrates that it is possible to share very large files.
Many thanks in advance for any help or idea, because Audition is the editor I need!
Best Regards
Adobe Audition 3 Errors
Hi
When I started Adobe audition 3 today I encountered an error and on searching forums my problem is the same as described by others. The cut and paste below is from 2008, but same problems
If you have advice
Thankyou
I don't know what caused this, but I attempted to open Audition last night and it didn't happen. I got the odd prompt that the serial number was invalid. (I bought this program many months ago, and it is installed on this and another computer.)
I then attempted to uninstall it so I could then reinstall it, but have been prevented from doing so for some reason. There are two options in the Install Wizard on the disc, Repair and Remove.
When I attempt to repair, it completes the installation successfully. Then I attempt to open the program and get "The serial number is invalid. Please reinstall Adobe Audition." again. I can't!
When I attempt to remove it, the process gets stopped at the same point each time, prompting the following the message:
"The wizard was interrupted before Adobe Audition 3.0 could be completely installed.
Your system has not been modified. To complete installation at another time, please run setup again."
In the Control Panel's "Uninstall or change a program" section, there are two entries for Adobe Audition 3.0
One has the options to Uninstall, Change or Repair and has no listing under the "Publisher" column.
When attempting to perform any one of these options, NOTHING happens.
The other, with "Adobe Systems Incorporated" has only a "Uninstall/Change" option.
Choosing this sole option results exactly the same way as when attempting to perform the uninstall from the disc.
Ugh. What's happening? How can I resolve this, and what might have caused it?
how do I copy and paste in Adobe Audition 2.0 and keep my markers and metadata?
I'm trying to paste sections of sound file at the end of a different file, but when it pastes I lose all my markers and metadata which were saved on the original file. Does anyone know how I might copy the markers over as well? Would really appreciate some help! Thanks
You are running an operating system that Audition no longer supports. Refer to the system requirements for a full list of supported platforms.
Hi. When I try to download a free trial of Adobe Audition on my Mac (version 10.7.5), I keep receiving this message:
"You are running an operating system that Audition no longer supports. Refer to the system requirements for a full list of supported platforms."
Does anyone have a solution to this problem so I can successfully download Audition?
Thank you!
Adobe Audition 2.0, trying to install onto my new computer, and can not activate...
I copied the SETUP from my old computer onto my new computer and cannot activate the software, Adobe does not support the 2.0 version...@
Adobe Audition Shutting Down Repeatedly - Bad Allocation
I have been editing some video and using Adobe Audition CC2015-1 to improve audio quality on some voice overs I have done. Using the effects menu I keep the error message when I try to use 'Voice Enhancer' and also 'Special - Mastering' "Audition has encountered a fatal error and need to shut down" - bad allocation.
Unfortunately it continues to occur causing the program to shut down every time. Where / what should be the next avenue to try and remedy the issue.
Gaps between songs from complete live concert
I'm running AA 3 (OK, I can't afford to upgrade to CS6, or whatever the current version is, so have mercy); and running on a Win7/64 bit machine.
I'm taking a local band's complete concert and trying to break up the individual songs to burn them to CD with track markers. AA 3 is also having an issue with the "write CD" function, where it merely closes the program. I've seen this issue discussed elsewhere, and my workaround has simply been to use another software program to burn CDs.
So I make markers between the songs (doesn't matter whether it's a cue marker, track marker, or what have you). If I save the selection as an mp3 (even a high sample rate version) then re-open that individual song, I see a slight gap (audio silence) at the head and tail of the song. This won't do when burning a CD as it will create a "blip" during playback. What I found is that if I save the selection as a .wav file instead, I do not get the gap at the head/tail of the file. I don't recall running into this before, but I had been using AA 3 on an older box with XP/32 bit; I don't know if that plays a part or not.
Thoughts/suggestions appreciated. In the meantime, I'll just make sure to save these selections as .wav files; these days there is enough hard drive space to support the larger files.
