I have been a regular user of Audition 1.5 for the past 6 years or so. My work involves working with files largely in the 8kHz format (telephony) and also invloves a lot pf batch processing. I find the "Edit script file" feature extremely useful since i need to cut a lot of files (of different lengths) into a fixed length. I am still with Windows XP and Audition 1.5 since 8kHz files in a Windows 7 environment tend to give out a hiss on playback.
So my questions are:
1. If i am forced to move to Windows 8, which seems very likely, would Audition 1.5 be supported by the new OS?
2. As mentioned earlier, i need the "Edit script file" feature for my batch scripts and as far as i understand, Audition6 (CS6) does not let you do that to the recorded Favorites(as batch scripts are called in CS6). So, in case Windows 8 will not support Audition 1.5, are there any versions (Audition 3 maybe) to which i can upgrade and thus retain my freedom to edit the script file.
